FIGMA SVG TO PNG

Figma to PNG, sharp every time.

Two situations, two fixes: exporting PNG directly from Figma (use export scales, not resizing), and converting an already-exported SVG to PNG (use the free converter below). Both come down to one rule – render from vector at final size.

Drop any Figma-exported SVG here for PNG at 1×–8× – transparent background preserved.

Scale from vector, never pixels

A PNG enlarged after export is blurry forever. Rendering from the SVG at 2×, 4×, or 8× re-rasterizes the math – sharp at every target size.

Covers both workflows

In Figma: add multiple export settings (1x, 2x, 3x) to one frame. Outside Figma: this converter renders existing SVG exports at any scale.

Transparency intact

Both routes preserve alpha transparency – icons and logos land on any background without white boxes.

STEP BY STEP

How to get PNGs from Figma designs

  1. Direct from Figma Select the frame → Export → PNG → choose a scale (2x for retina, 3x–4x for marketing assets). Add multiple scales to one export setting for a full set.
  2. From an SVG file Already have the SVG export? Drop it into the converter above and pick a scale – same result without reopening Figma.
  3. Verify edges Zoom the PNG to 100% at its destination size. Soft edges mean you exported at too low a scale – re-render higher; it costs nothing.

Why your Figma PNG exports look blurry (and SVGs don’t)

A frame exported at 1x produces a PNG with exactly the frame’s pixel count – which a retina screen then stretches across double the physical pixels. That’s the entire mystery of “Figma exports look blurry”: not a bug, just a 1x export viewed at 2x density. Export at 2x minimum for anything users see on modern screens.

This is also the argument for shipping SVG instead of PNG wherever the platform allows: the browser re-renders vectors at the exact density of every screen, so the blurry-export problem can’t exist. PNG remains necessary for platforms that reject SVG – which is exactly what this page’s converter is for.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert a Figma SVG export to PNG?

Drop it into the converter on this page, choose a scale (2× covers most uses), and download. The render uses your browser’s SVG engine – identical to how the file looks in Chrome.

What export scale should I use in Figma?

2x for screens, 3x for app-store and social assets, 4x+ for print. When unsure, go higher – vector sources re-render losslessly.

Why is my Figma PNG export blurry on retina screens?

It was exported at 1x. Re-export at 2x (or convert the SVG version at 2× here) and the blur disappears.

PNG or SVG from Figma for my website?

SVG for icons, logos, and illustrations (sharp, small, recolorable); PNG only where SVG isn’t accepted or for photographic content. See SVG vs PNG.
