How to convert images for Cricut

Drop in any image PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, or BMP – from downloads, phone photos, or old craft stashes.
Pick your cut style B&W = one-layer silhouette (most cuts). Color = layered design. Grayscale = tonal art for print-then-cut backgrounds.
Download the SVG Then upload it in Design Space: Upload → Upload Image → select file → Add to Canvas.

Reading the preview like a cutter

The result preview shows exactly what becomes cut lines: every edge between shapes is a path the blade will follow. Before downloading, scan for: speckles (lower the detail – they’d be weeding hell), merged details (raise detail or use a sharper source), and open-looking gaps in line art (a sign the source lines were too thin – thicken and re-trace).

Tracing rewards good sources. The same design as a sharp 1000px PNG converts dramatically better than as a 200px JPG screenshot – when you have a choice, feed the converter the best copy you have.

Can I convert Etsy purchases that came as PNG?
